NEWPORT NEWS, Va.--The Atlantic 10 announced Thursday that 10 women's rowers have been selected for the A-10 Rowing All-Academic team.

Sydnie Pennington represented Duquesne on the team. The junior political science major has a 3.97 GPA and has been a fixture on the Dean's List, Atlantic 10 Director's Honor Roll and Director of Athletics' Honor Roll.

Pennington's season was highlighted by winning the V4 at the Head of the Occoquan.

The team was chosen by a vote of the league's rowing media relations directors to recognize student-athletes for their combined prowess in both the classroom and in the boat.
