QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne rowing team raced on the Potomac River for the George Washington Invitational over the weekend. The Dukes competed in seven total events.
Varsity 8
In the first V8 (6:13.90), the Dukes finished in third, with Saint Joseph's and Georgetown taking first and second. The second race saw a third place finish (6:14.60) for the Dukes, behind George Washington and Dayton.
Second Varsity 8
The Dukes took third in both the first (6:21.60) and second race (6:32.40).
Novice 8
Duquesne had a second-place finish, behind George Washington with a time of 6:39.40.
Varsity 4
In the first V4, the Dukes finished in second of three entries with a time of 7:06.30, with George Washington taking first. Duquesne crossed the line in 8:00.30 to take third place in the second V4.
UP NEXT:
The Dukes head to Philadelphia to race in the Kerr Cup on Saturday, before returning home to compete against West Virginia and Dayton on April 22.
