1ST HALF: The teams exchanged a pair of goals in the first four minutes with Haley Matthai (assist from Drotar) and Vancanti (assist from DeHaven) finding the back of the net for the Dukes. However, the Colonials would go onto score the next 10 goals to take a commanding 12-2 lead heading into halftime.
2ND HALF: RMU scored the first three goals of the half before DeHaven's free position goal at 17:59. Duquesne would score the final three goals of the match - Macy Marafioti (from DeHaven), Drotar and Vacanti (free position).
"This one hurts, but Robert Morris deserved every ounce of this win. We got out hustled and dug ourselves a hole we couldn't climb out of. We need to be better in every way. Offense, defense, transition- everywhere. I tip my hat to RMU. They played with heart."
Atlantic 10 Conference play begins on March 31st when the Dukes visit Richmond. Duquesne will remain on the road to play VCU on April 2nd.
