EVENT: Rollins Invitational

LOCATION: Lake Maitland/Winter Park, Florida

PARTICIPANTS: Rollins College, Villanova, Assumption College

QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne rowing team competed in the Rollins Invitational on Saturday held on Lake Maitland in Winter Park, Florida. The event wrapped up a week of springing training for the Dukes, who competed in nine races total.

Varsity 8
In the first V8, Villanova took first place, with Duquesne trailing behind by only 2.9 seconds. Rollins and Assumption finished in third and fourth place respectively. In both the second V8 and third V8, Duquesne finished first, followed by Villanova in second.

Varsity 4
Duquesne's "A" entry in the V4 crossed the line in first place, with the Dukes "B" entry finishing in third. Duquesne saw another first place finish in the second V4 event of the day.

Novice 8
The Dukes placed first, just 2.8 seconds ahead of Villanova, with Rollins taking third.

Novice 4
Both the Duquesne "A" entry and "B" entry had first place finishes for the Dukes in the final races of the event.

UP NEXT: The Dukes head to Lewisburg, Pa to compete against Bucknell on Sunday, March 26.
