Isaiah Barrett scored in the 102nd minute to give St. Bonaventure (5-8-2, 1-4) a 1-0 win over Duquesne (3-10-1, 1-4) on Rooney Field. The win snapped a four match Bonnies losing streak and extended DU's winless streak to four. Luke Iacobellis was credited with a pair of saves in posting the shutout.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Zach Hall and Austin Stout sent shots over the crossbar in the opening 12 minutes for Duquesne.
  • The Dukes - led by three attempts by Hall - outshot the Bonnies 8-5 in the first half.
  • Fredrik Borenstein had DU's lone first half shot on goal.
  • St. Bonaventure's Kosi Nwafornso had the Bonnies best chance when his shot from the right side was saved by Robbie McKelvey in the 52nd minute.
  • St. Bonaventure's Paul Afful was assessed his second yellow card of the game in the 68th minute, leaving the Bonnies a man down.
  • Duquesne's George Poppas drilled a hard shot just high of the crossbar from the top of the box in the 78th minute.
  • Hall took a long pass from Austin Stout in the 85th minute and made a 1v1 run down the left side, only to have his shot turned away by Iacobellis.
  • One minute later, SBU's Anthony Gaglianese put a free kick on goal from a hard right angle 18 yards away. McKelvey made the stop and covered a rebound attempt from Nwafronso.
  • The Dukes outshot the Bonnies 12-9 in regulation. SBU had five shots on goal to two for DU.
  • The game-winner came when Nikko Richards took a long pass from Nwafornso down the left side and beat a challenge from Ryan Landry. Richards came in on goal and crossed it to Barrett who tapped it in from close range.
