QUICK RECAP:
In a battle of three-game win streaks, it was Duquesne who left Rooney Field with its skein intact as Fredrik Borenstein put home a spinning goal in the 59th minute to give Duquesne a 1-0 victory over Robert Morris on Rooney Field. The win was the fourth in row for the Dukes (5-2) and ninth-straight over the Colonials at home. Robert Morris (3-4), which was outshot 17-11, saw its three-game win streak snapped. Borenstein took a pass from George Poppas in the center of the field - did a 360 - and put it by Winter Fondi with this left foot from 10 yards out for what turned into the game winner. It was the team-high third goal of the season for the Norwegian. Evan Kozlowski, once again backed by a solid defensive team effort, stopped a pair of shots in posting his third consecutive shutout. Duquesne had three shots on goal to one for Robert Morris in the first half. DU's best opportunity came in the 13th minute when the Dukes drew Fondi away from the cage and Bryan Fegley dug the ball out to Poppas, who fired high of the cage from center right. RMU had one more shot that DU in the opening 45 minutes (7-6). There were a total of six yellow cards (three on each team) in the opening half. Duquesne, which hit the post twice and crossbar once on the evening, was the aggressor in the second half, outshooting RMU 11-4. The Dukes finished with nine corner kicks to 3 for Robert Morris

DUQUESNE HEAD COACH Chase Brooks:
"We were close in the first half, and did what we needed to do in the second half. It felt good, and the guys worked hard. That second half is exactly what we're looking for, and I really appreciate the effort from the guys. We'll learn from this win and try to put together more 90-minute games. "
