QUICK RECAP: Madelynn Burnham had 15 kills (.400) and Molly Davet added 12 (.344) as Duquesne (15-6, 5-1) extended its win streak to six with a 3-0 win over Fordham (10-12, 3-4) at Palumbo Center. The victory, which was the Dukes' 17th in a row over the Rams, upped DU's home record to 7-0. It was the Dukes' first three-set win in conference play. Dani Suiter had a match-high 36 assists. Davet also added 11 digs for the Dukes who hit .260.
SET 1: Duquesne erased an early 8-5 deficit to take the first set 25-21. Burnham (6) and Davet (4) combined for 10 of the Dukes' 16 kills. Suiter had 15 of DU's 16 assists.
SET 2: DU fell behind 9-5, before taking its first lead at 11-10 on a Burnham kill. The Dukes stretched the advantage to 14-10 on a pair of Fordham attack errors, before the Rams called a timeout. Fordham came back from five down to tie it at 23-23, before the Dukes put the game away with kills from Burnham and Davet, who had five kills each in the set.
SET 3: Sydney Glover had three kills and Davet added four digs as the Dukes hit .321 for the set. There were 10 ties before DU took the lead for good on a Glover kill that made 13-12.
