SLU's Danielle Rygelski and Danielle Long led all players with 12 kills each.
A Lacey Levers kill broke an early 2-2 tie was the go-ahead point for the Dukes in the 1st set. The Duquesne lead would get a high as seven points three times -- the last on a Davet kill that made the score 19-12. SLU would get within four points of tying the match on a Taylor Paulson kill that held off set point, but Levers would answer with a set-clinching kill at 25-20
SLU led from start-to-finish in the 2nd set. A Rygelski ace gave the Billikens an early 10-3 lead. The Dukes came back with a 9-2 run to get within one point at 13-12 on Trzeciak's kill. With the Dukes still down one point at 17-16, a Paulson kill follow by a Meredith Boe ace started an 8-2 run, finished by a Megan Gilbert kill, ended the set 25-18.
After the intermission, the Dukes came out in the 3rd set leading 12-6. The Billikens responded with a 13-2 run to take a 19-14 lead. Duquesne would score only four more points as SLU took the set 25-18 and a 2-1 match lead.
Duquesne took an early 9-6 lead in the 4th set, but four straight Billikens points gave SLU a 10-9 lead and forced a Dukes timeout. A Levers kill tied the score at 10-10. The set would see four more ties until a Davet kill broke a 14-14 tie and capped a 5-1 run to put Duquesne ahead 18-15 and force a Saint Louis timeout. Duquesne would extend its lead by one more point coming out of the stoppage on a Madelynn Burnham solo block. However a 5-1 Billikens run deadlocked the score at 20-20. SLU took the lead on the next point on a Duquesne attack error. The Dukes called a timeout and tied the match at 21-21 on a Henry kill. Saint Louis scored the next four points to win the set 25-21 and the match 3-1.
