DAVIDSON, N.C. (Atlantic10.com) - The seventh-seeded Duquesne Dukes won their first ever Atlantic 10 Championship Sunday, 2-0, against fifth-seeded Fordham at Davidson's Alumni Soccer Stadium. The Dukes earn the Atlantic 10's automatic bid to the NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.

The Dukes scored in the 77th minute off a corner kick set up by Haley Yow. Maddie Layman put a touch on it, before Abby Losco drilled it into the goal past a diving Megan Fitzgerald.

Linnea Faccenda added an insurance goal in the 85th minute.

Vanessa Perdomo, who was named the Championship's Most Outstanding Player, made eight saves in a clean sheet today, and 29 saves overall, a new Atlantic 10 Championship record. Joining Perdomo on the All Championship team is Dayton's Nicole Waters, George Mason's Kaila Williams, La Salle's Jessika Kagan and Marykate Bateman. From the Fordham Rams, Brianna Blunck, Nicole Bates and Jessia Widmann were honored, while Duquesne's Linnea Faccenda, Katie O'Connor and Abby Losco rounded out the team.

Game times for the 2015 NCAA Women's Championship will be revealed Monday, Nov. 9 at 4:30 pm on NCAA.com.

Fordham (13-7-2) led in shots, firing 11 at Perdomo, eight of which were on net. Kristina Maksuti had a team-high three shots.The Dukes, who tallied seven shots, led in corner kicks 4-3. O'Connor had three shots for Duquesne.
