QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's soccer team erased a 2-0 deficit at Dayton on Thursday night, but the Flyers would answer with three straight goal to come away with the 5-2 win.
The Flyers scored first when Dayton's Erin O'Malley's shot was blocked, but the rebound came to UD's Kathleen Golterman who found Alexis Kiehl for the goal in the 14th minute. The Flyers went up 2-0 when Beth Kamphaus' shot was deflected off Duquesne keeper Kyra Murphy and hit the cross bar. Dayton's Ashley Campbell was there to finish the play for the goal.
After halftime, the Dukes scored a pair of goals 1:46 apart. A Katie O'Connor header was deflected off UD keeper Kaelyn Johns, the ball went to Linnea Faccenda who found Abby Losco for the score in the 54th minute. This was followed by O'Connor stealing the ball from a Flyers' defender at midfield and dribbling down the field and firing a shot past Johns from 18 yards out to tie the match at 2-2 in the 55th minute.
However, Dayton would answer on Campbell's second goal. She took a cross from Nicole Waters and put it past Murphy. The duo would connect again in the 73rd minute. Campbell's free kick found Waters for a goal. UD added another goal 21 seconds later when Kamphaus' cross found Kiehl, whose shot hit the post and was finished by Meghan Blank.
