QUICK RECAP:The Duquesne volleyball team fell to George Washington 3-0 on Sunday afternoon at the Palumbo Center.

Nora Young led the Dukes with nine kills and hit .438, Mary Henry recorded 29 assists, Sammy Kline 12 digs and Madelynn Burnham a pair of blocks

In the 1st set, George Washington took an early 10-point lead as a block by Chidima Osuchukwu gave GW a 16-6 lead. With the Colonials leading 24-18, the Dukes won the next five points, which included an ace by Molly Davet and a pair of kills from Burnham. Although Duquesne held off five set points, a ball handling error gave GW the set win at 25-23.

Duquesne came out in the 2nd set take a 5-1 lead. Their lead would get a high as six points after a black from Burnham and Lacey Levers made the score 14-8. A kill by Abbie Trzeciak made the score 19-15, but George Washington would score the next 10 points to steal the set 25-19 and take a 2-0 match lead.

The Colonials lead the entire 3rd set, save a pair of early ties. An attack error gave GW the set 25-16 and the set 3-0.
