QUICK RECAP: Davidson's Ashley Finke's header was the lone goal as the Wildcats defeated the Duquesne women's soccer team 1-0 on Sunday afternoon.
DC's Mia Hodges found Vicky Bruce who lobbed the ball towards Finke who put the ball past Dukes keeper Vanessa Perdomo by the near post.
The Dukes had a chance to tie it up less three minutes later when Haley Yow's and Linnea Faccenda's scots were both turned aside by Davidson keeper Becca Ravitz. Danya Fenech had a chance tie the game with 40 seconds remaining in the 1st half, but her shot ricocheted off the post.
Duquesne had another chance to tie the contest in the 70th minute when Maggie Mayo's shot hit the post. Mayo had another chance in the 87th minute, but her shot was blocked.
For the game, Duquesne outshot Davidson 16-8.
