Red and Blue Fall to Davidson, 160-101

Results

The Duquesne swimmers wrapped up the Richmond Duals with a 160-101 loss to Davidson Saturday morning.

The Dukes were able to secure four first place finishes in the 14-race meet. Freshman Abby Watson won the 100-yard backstroke in 59.76, freshman Lexi Santer won the 200 butterfly in 2:09.65, freshman Kayla Owens won the 20 breaststroke in 2:22.71 and Santer won again in the 400 IM in 4:37.67.

The Red and Blue also had six second place finishes, with the 400 medley relay and 200 free relay being two of them. Individually, junior Kylie Dickman placed second in the 200 fly in 2:11.18, senior Line Lovberg was runner-up in the 200 back in 2:08.82, junior Samantha Ray was second in the 100 free in 53.51 and Owens placed second in the 100 fly in 58.97.

The Dukes return to action on Friday, Oct. 24 as they host St. Francis at 5:30 at Towers Pool.
