Volleyball Defeats Temple 3-0

PITTSBURGH - In a battle for second place in the Atlantic 10 Conference, the Duquesne volleyball team (17-6, 5-1 A-10) defeated Temple (14-6, 4-2 A-10) 3-0 on Friday night. The scores of the sets were 25-21, 25-13, 25-20.

With Fordham's loss to Dayton tonight, the Dukes are in sole possession of second place, one game behind the Flyers who are 6-0 in league play.

Allison Foschia, who was honored before the match for recording 1,000 career dig, led all players with 16 kills. Arielle Love had 14 kills and hit .458. Mary Henry had a match-high 41 assists and Patti Abshire and Nora Young each had 14 digs.

The next match is Sunday when DU hosts La Salle. This match is the annual Dig Pink day and starts at 1:00 p.m.
