DU Swimming Falls to Visiting Liberty, 143-119

Duquesne's swimming team won five of 12 individual races in losing to visiting Liberty, 143-119 Saturday afternoon at Towers Pool.

Miriam McGeath won two of the five races, taking first in the 200-yard breaststroke in 2:31.24 and in the 400 IM in 4:35.50. Also winning races were Meghan Smith with a time of 1:57.09 in the 200 freestyle, Hillary Hocson with a 1:09.88 in the 100 breaststroke and Line Lovberg with a time of 2:07.81 in the 200 butterfly.

The Dukes return to action next Saturday, Jan. 21 as they host Mount St. Mary's at 1:00 pm at Towers Pool. Coach David Sheets and the Department of Athletics will honor seniors Erin Cawley, Morgan Claycomb, Kathryn Hare, Hannah Kondrotas and Kristi Magee prior to the meet.
