PITTSBURGH - Sammi McCloud had a match-high 13 kills to lead #24 Saint Louis to a 3-0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-12) victory over the Duquesne volleyball team Thursday night.

Nicole Wright registered her 12th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 10 digs. Sarah Svorinic had a match-high 31 assists for the Dukes who fall to 13-12, 3-7 on the season.

The Billikens led from start-to-finish in the first set, making only one error while hitting .448 in their 25-17 win.

DU opened the second set with a 10-6 advantage before SLU went on a 6-0 run to take a two point lead. Duquesne would tie, regain and lose the lead two times before a Jessica Artman kill tied the score at 23-23 forcing a Saint Louis timeout. The Billikens answered with a Whitney Roth kill followed by an Alyssa Deno and Casey Chernin block to take the second set 25-23.

The third set started off with four ties and three lead changes through the first 16 points. With the set tied at 8-8, SLU used a 10-2 run behind Deno's serving to take an 18-10 lead. DU would only score two more points the rest of the way, as Saint Louis won the set 25-12 and the match 3-0.

Duquesne hosts Rhode Island (7-14, 1-8) tomorrow night at the Palumbo Center. Match time is 7:00 p.m.
