Anderson Results / St. Andrew's Results / Roger Williams Results

The wrestling team returned to action Jan. 9-10 by posting a 1-2 record at the Virginia Duals. Juniors Jayk Cobbs and Ryan Sula each posted 3-0 records.

The Dukes opened the competition Friday morning with a 30-13 loss to Anderson. Cobbs won by mahor decision, Sula won by pin and sophomore Matt Gregg won by decision.

Friday afternoon the Red and Blue faced St. Andrew's and captured a 41-7 victory with the Dukes win eight of the 10 weight classes. Winning bouts for DU were, Cobbs, Sula, Gregg, Billy Chamberlain and Alex Martinez. Nate Reinhart, Dan Pauley and John Simmons each won by forfeit.

In their final match on Saturday, the Dukes fell to Roger Williams, 24-19. Chamberlain, Cobbs, Sula and Josh Pascazi were triumphant.

The Red and Blue return to action on Sunday, Jan. 18 as they host West Virginia at 7:00 pm in the Palumbo Center.
