Duquesne's men's soccer team played to a 0-0, double overtime tie versus Pitt Thursday night in the home season opener at Rooney Field. Sophomore keeper Chris Torres and the Duquesne defense kept an opponent off the board for a second straight match. Duquesne's record moves to 1-0-2 while Pitt moves to 1-1-1.
Sophomore Stefan Lundberg fired a game-high five shots as the Dukes outshot the Panthers, 17-13. Torres posted five saves.
The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Sept. 6 as they host St. Francis (Pa.) at 7:30 pm on Rooney Field.
