Volleyball Continues Winning Ways After 3-0 Shutout of Hampton

FLAGSTAFF - Tricia Mullen and Brittany Poling each had a game-best nine kills and Jessica Artman hit .583 as the Duquesne Volleyball team won its ninth match of the season Saturday afternoon with their 3-0 victory over winless Hampton in the second match of the Fiesta Bowl Classic. Sarah Svorinic's chalked up a career-best 26 assists for the Dukes.

Duquesne never trailed in any of the three sets as they recorded their fifth shutout of the season.

The Dukes hit an incredible .609 in the first set as Artman and Amanda Humphrey were 4-for-4 hitting for a perfect 1.000. DU easily took the set 25-12.

DU took advantage of 10 Hampton errors in the second set and added 10 kills and an ace in the 25-12 set win.

Poling's four kills in the third set led the way for a 25-11 third set victory as the Dukes took the match 3-0 in just 55 minutes.
