Box Score

Duquesne's baseball team won its third straight game with an 8-7, come-from-behind victory at Ohio U, Wednesday evening. Four Dukes had three hits in the game, including Derek Mechling who hit his ninth homer of the season.

The Dukes jumped to a 2-0 first inning lead, but saw themselves trailing, 6-2 after five innings. The Red and Blue went on to scor three runs in the seventh and three more in the eighth to secure the win.

Also tallying three hits were Anthony Manley, Pat Kimutis and Bill Torre. Mechling and Torre each scored two runs while Mechling and Eric Morrison each drove in two.

Andrew Heck pitched a scoreless seventh inning to collect his second win of the season while Danny Brown pitched the final two innings to pick up his team leading sixth save.

The Red and Blue return to action on Friday as they host Atlantic 10 leading Xavier at 4:00 pm.
