The Dukes opened the weekend with a narrow 19-18 triumph at Davidson Friday evening. The Dukes and Wildcats each won five matches, including one by fall, but sophomore Jayk Cobbs' 11-2 major decision at 141 pounds gave the Dukes the extra team point for the win.

On Saturday, the Red and Blue split a pair of duals at the University of North Carolina's Carmichael Auditorium, defeating Campbell, 23-13 and losing to The Citadel 28-9. Senior Brad Shrum (149 pounds) and junior Scott Black (174 pounds) each won both of their matches.

On Sunday, DU dropped a 42-7 decision at Duke's Cameron Indoor Stadium. Freshman Kevin Chapman (133) and senior Cody Midlam (157) picked up the lone Duquesne wins.

Shrum and Midlam went 3-1 on the weekend to lead the Dukes.

The Red and Blue complete their dual schedule with an 8-10-1 mark and begin preparations for the NCAA East Regional Championship to be held on Sunday, March 9 at 2:00 pm at Liberty University.
