Results

Duquesne's wrestling team opened the 2008-09 season by competing in the Buffalo Open. Juniors Jayk Cobbs and Ryan Sula finished second in their respective weight classes as Cobbs went 4-1 at 141 pounds and Sula went 4-1 at 184 pounds.

Leading the Dukes in wins for the day was junior William Chamberlain. Chamberlain, a transfer from Old Dominion, won his first match at 125 pounds before losing in the quarterfinals. He then went on to win five straight matches in the consolation bracket to finish fifth.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Nov. 8 as they compete in the National Catholic Invitational at Mercyhurst.
