BRONX, N.Y. - Annie Reid's unassisted goal 10:16 into the match proved to be the game-winner as the Duquesne women's soccer team came out of Fordham with a 1-0 victory Sunday afternoon.
Gabby Morrin made a career-high 11 saves and recorded her first shutout of the season for the Dukes who improved to 4-3-3 overall and 2-1-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.
"Our defense played their tails off this afternoon," said head coach Tim Zundel. "I am so proud of the team's performance this weekend - getting four points on the road, especially against good teams like La Salle and Fordham made a great weekend for us."
Reid, who got the Dukes on the board Friday night against the Explorers, has scored in back-to-back matches for the first time in her career. "Annie kept us in the games this weekend," added Zundel.
