Women's Soccer Falls to Dayton 4-1

DAYTON - The Duquesne women's soccer team finished their road trip with splitting a pair of game after falling to Dayton 4-1 Sunday afternoon.

After an early UD goal by Mandi Back, the Flyers' Lauren MacCormick scored two goals 3:14 apart giving Dayton a 3-0 lead going into halftime. The Dukes were held to only one shot in the first half.

Dayton added another goal in the 66th minute before Jenna Farneti set up Shaina Geisler's goal in the 78th minutes put Duquesne on the board.

Brittany Findley, making her second consecutive start in goal, made two saves for the Dukes who fall to 6-5-3 overall and 4-3-1 in the Atlantic 10 Conference.

DU had a weekend home stand against a pair of Philadelphia schools - Saint Joseph's on Oct. 24 at 7:00 p.m. and Temple on Oct. 26 at 1:00 p.m.
