Duquesne University swimmers senior Melissa Johnson (Phoenix, Ariz./Shadow Mountain/ U. Arizona) and freshman Edward LeBlanc (Raleigh, N.C./William G. Enloe) have been named Atlantic 10 Performer and Rookie of the Week for the week ending Dec. 2.
Johnson captured two first place finishes and a second place showing at the three-day Akron Invitational. She set a meet record and a school record in winning the 200-yard freestyle in 1:50.95 on Saturday, set a meet and school record in Sunday's 100-yard freestyle in 51.51 and finished second in Friday's 200-yard individual medley in a Duquesne season-best time of 2:06.35.

LeBlanc set a school record in winning the 200-yard individual medley at Akron on Friday in 1:53.40, won the 200-yard freestyle on Saturday with a Duquesne season-best time of 1:40.98 and finished second in Sunday's 100-yard freestyle with a Duquesne season-best time of 45.85.
The Red and Blue are finished competing for the semester. They will train for 10 days in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. during Christmas break, before returning to competition on Saturday, Jan. 12 when the take on Cleveland State and Xavier in Cleveland.
