Duquesne's men's swimming team split a pair of decisions against two Atlantic 10 schools, edging Rhode Island, 117-116 and falling to host Fordham, 151-85 Saturday afternoon in the Bronx.
The Dukes opened the day by winning the 400 medley relay with a time of 3:28.61. Swimming the winning time for DU were freshman Edward LeBlanc, sophomore Ian P. Walsh, freshman Jim O'Hara and senior Ian Walsh.
LeBlanc, swimming in his first meet of the season, also captured the only other two Duquesne wins in the day. He won the 200 IM in a near school-record time of 1:54.45 and took the 200 backstroke in 1:53.63.
The Dukes will take a week off during Thanksgiving break and will return to action on Nov. 30 as they compete in the three-day Akron Invitational.
