The Dukes' defense had another spectacular outing, holding the Hawks to just six shots and helping keeper Brittany Findley record her third shutout of the season. Findley made four saves on the afternoon.
Shaina Geisler's rebound off an Audra Mathews corner kick at 51:34 closed out the scoring and sealed the contest for DU giving the Dukes six wins in their last seven matches.
The victory sets a program record for Atlantic 10 wins with six. The Dukes are one win short of tying a program record for wins in a season. The 2005 squad finished with 10 wins.
The Dukes travel to St. Bonaventure Oct. 27 before closing out the regular season at home against Fordham Nov. 2 and La Salle Nov. 4.
