Results

The Duquesne University women's swimming team dropped its 2007-08 season opener, 128.5-84.5 Friday evening at Buffalo.

Two Dukes turned in first place performances led by freshman Erin Sykes who won the 1,000-yard freestyle in a school record time of 10:26.32 and won the 500-yard freestyle in 5:09.89.

Junior Katrina Streiner also won a race, taking first in the 50-yard freestyle in 24.34.

The Red and Blue return to the water on Saturday as they travel to St. Bonaventure for a 1:00 pm meet.
