Fourth year Duquesne University men's swimming coach David Sheets recently announced that Richard Ryan (Blue Bell, PA/Wissahickon) has signed a National Letter of Intent to attend Duquesne for the 2007-08 academic year.

Ryan specializes in the breaststroke event where he was an All-American as a junior. A three-time team MVP, he was league champion in the 100-yard breaststroke and 50-yard freestyle and was also an All-American in the 200 free relay. His team went 9-1 as a junior and was Upper Merion relay champions. Ryan is also an All-State water polo honoree.
