DU opened game four taking a 7-5 advantage and served for six consecutive points to extend their lead to 16-9, but the Colonials used an 8-2 run to get within an 18-17 reach before tying the contest 19-19 on a called hitting error on DU. Game five saw the Colonials take 4-0 lead on two kills and two DU errors before the Red & Blue scored with a block. GW upped its edge to an 8-3 lead which the Dukes cut to an 8-6 margin, but they would not get closer than a 12-10 reach as George Washington took the contest 15-10.
