Dukes Finish 13th At St. Bonaventure Tournament

Olean, N.Y. - Duquesne University's golf team, on Monday, finished in 13th place at St. Bonaventure's 18th Leo Keenan Invitational at Bartlett Country Club.

Sophomore Drew Ellis shot a two-round seven-over par 147 to lead the Dukes. This put him in a tie for 16th place in the 80-player competition. His classmate, Brendan Madden, had the Red and Blue's best round of the day, a six-over par 76.

Host St. Bonaventure won the 15-team event with an 18-over par 578. Siena (581) was second. The Saint's Bryan Bigley took the individual crown with a six-under-par 134, three strokes ahead of Tyler Brewington of Rider.

The Dukes, off for a week, next hit the links at the two-day Robert Morris Crowne Plaza Colonial Golf Classic starting Monday, October 9, 2006, at Montour Heights Country Club in Moon Township, Pa.
