Duquesne's golf team opened the 2006-07 campaign with a 15th place finish at the two-day Navy Fall Invitational Sept. 9-10. The Dukes shot a team score of 311 on Saturday, but bounced back Sunday with a 300.

Freshman Mike Hartman led the Red and Blue by firing a 78-74-152 followed by senior Derek Evans and sophomore Brendan Madden who both shot 153's.

Loyola College won the event with a team score of 576 while North Dakota State's Eric Johnson took top medalist honors with a 67-71-138.
