Center Valley, Pa. - Duquesne University freshman Drew Ellis won the 109-player Lafayette College Spring Invitational Sunday with a par round of 71 at the Center Valley Club. Ellis led the Dukes to a sixth place finish in the 21-team competition.

Rain had washed out play on Saturday. The weather was more cooperative Sunday as it offered clears skies and mild temperatures. The tournament was cut to 18 holes.

Siena took the team title with a score of 300. The Dukes put together a round of 307.

The Dukes next head to the Jersey shore for the Cape May Invitational on Monday and Tuesday, April 17-18, 2006.
