Dukes Finish All-Time Best Fifth at A-10's

Duquesne's men's swimming team broke four school records on the final day of the Atlantic 10 Championship and finished in a tie for fifth place, the University's best finish ever at the conference meet.

Junior Ed Wicker set a school record and broke a long-standing Atlantic 10 record with a first place time of 44.73 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Freshman Chris Kobela also set a new school standard in the 1650 freestyle, placing third with a time of 16:06.53 while senior Hugo Erse completed his illustrious Duquesne career by topping his own DU record in the 200 butterfly with a fourth place time of 1:53.28. Duquesne's 400 freestyle relay team ended the four-day competition with a second place finish in a school record time of 3:03.69.
