The Atlantic 10 Conference announced Monday that Duquesne freshman Chris Kobela (Allentown, PA / Salisbury Township) was named the A-10's men's swimming Rookie of the Week.

Kobela earned a second-place finish in the 1,000-yard freestyle (9:54.22) and added a third-place showing in the 500-yard freestyle (4:46.67) on Jan. 14 at Cleveland State.

The Dukes take on La Salle Friday, January 21, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. in Philadelphia and then head to Towson, Md. for a Saturday, 1:00 p.m. match with the Towson Tigers.
