Middletown, R.I. - Tournament officials had it right when they decided to get two rounds of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship in on Friday because of an ominious weather report for the weekend.

Day two of the 2005 Atlantic 10 Men's Golf Championship, held at the Newport National Golf Club in Middletown, RI, has been cancelled. Very heavy rainfall with winds over 25 mph. are predicted to continue until about 10:00 p.m. this evening when the precipitation is expected to lighten.

All teams completed 27 holes Friday. Xavier, Richmond, Rhode Island, Saint Joseph's, Dayton and Fordham need to complete their second round Sunday morning before the deciding round can kick off.
