For the second year in a row, Duquesne University's Colleen McCroskey (Solon, Ohio/Solon) has been named Atlantic 10 Academic Student-Athlete of the Year in women's rowing. She is joined by teammate Katie McGravey (Orchard Park, N.Y./Nardin Academy) on the A-10 Academic All-Conference list. Voting was conducted among the Conference's sports information directors. To be eligible, a student-athlete for have a minimum 3.0 grade point average and be an important part of the team.

McCroskey helped lead the Dukes' Lightweight 8 boat to a second-place finish at the 2005 Atlantic 10 Championship, where Duquesne finished seventh overall. In addition, she was a member of the Lightweight 4 which took first at the Fall Head of the Speakmon. Her Lightweight 8 boat placed second at the Occoquan Chase and placed fourth at the 2004 Head of the Ohio. The senior from Solon, Ohio has a 4.00 grade point average in occupational therapy. She has been on the Dean's List each semester, as well as the Duquesne Director of Athletics and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Rolls. She is a volunteer for St. Vincent DePaul Society, as well as being a Whales Tail volunteer.

McGravey earns her first All-Academic accolade boasting a 3.72 grade point average as an English major. McGravey rowed as a member of the Varsity 8 which took third in the Varsity 8 Petite event at the A-10 Championship and was a member of Club 8 which took fifth at the 2004 Head of the Ohio this past fall. The junior from New York is a member of the Dean's List, Director of Athletic Honor Roll and A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll.
