Duquesne's women's rowing crew competed at the Occoquan Challenge at Danby Run Regional Park in Fairfax, VA on Sunday. The Dukes won one race, finished second and third in another and were third in a fourth race.
DU's Lightweight 4 was first with a time of 18:52. In the preceding race, Open 4B won second place in the Women's Championship, finishing in 18:53. Right behind (18:54) was the third place Red and Blue's 4A squad. Also finishing third was the Open Double boat with a mark of 20:34.
Duquesne's next competition is the Head of the Speakmon in Columbus. Ohio on Saturday, October 29, 2005.
