Duquesne opened the 2003 season with a 3-1 victory over visiting Loyola in game #1 of the Duquesne/Robert Morris Volleyball Invitational. Diana Wuebker led the Dukes with 12 kills and six blocks while Sarah Morrow and Stephanie Hopkins each added 11 kills. Erin Trageser led the match with 17 digs. Hopkins added a team-best three service aces, including point #36 in the fourth and deciding game.

The Dukes won game one 30-27 followed by a 30-25 victory in game two. Loyola captured the third contest 30-24 before a marathon 37-35 victory of the Dukes in game four.

The Red & Blue return to action this evening as the host Eastern Michigan at 7:00 pm at the Palumbo Center.

Loyola and Eastern Michigan face each other match #2 of today's action.
