The wrestling team placed second of five teams at the NCAA East Regional Championship at Delaware State. Sophomore Marc Allemang and seniors Bill Boeh and Brian Neuman won the championship of their respective weight classes and will advance to the NCAA Championship in Kansas City, March 20-22.
Allemang, who was named the tournament's Most Outstanding Performer, won the heavyweight division and will make his first appearance at the national tournament. Boeh won the 165-pound weight class and will make his third trip to the NCAA's. Neuman, who just joined the Dukes this year as a transfer from Bucknell, will also go to national's for the first time.
Duquesne scored 100 team points and trailed team champion Millersville (125 points) and edged Slippery Rock (86), Gardner Webb (64) and Delaware State (48).
