The men's swimming team opened the second semester of competition with a 103-86 loss to visiting West Virginia.

Freshman Hugo Erse set a school record in the 1000-yard freestyle event with a time of 9:58.46.

The Dukes return to action on Saturday, Jan. 18 as they travel to Cleveland to face Cleveland State and Xavier at 1:00 pm.
