The golf team opened its 2002-03 slate with a narrow 295-296 loss to St. Francis (PA) at Immergrun Golf Course.

Freshman Andrew Kwiatkowski led nine Duquesne golfers by shooting an even-par 72 in his first collegiate match.

Junior Steve Seiden and sophomore Tom Wears added rounds of 74 while sophomore Tom Hungerford fired a 76 to account for the Dukes' team score.

The Red and Blue return to action on Friday, Sept. 13 as they travel to the Bucknell Tournament.
