Duquesne's volleyball team fell to 0-2 in Atlantic 10 play with a 3-0 loss at Xavier (11-5, 2-0). Individual scores were 23-30, 26-30, 15-30.

Senior Jacqui Gerlach (St. Henry, Ohio / St. Henry) led the Dukes with 13 kills. Junior Sarah Brown (Glen Rock, Pa. / Susquehannock) had a team-best eight digs and 30 assists.

The Red and Blue (10-7, 0-2 A10) returns to action on Friday, Oct. 4 as they host Temple (11-5, 2-0 A10) at 7:00 pm in the Palumbo Center.
