In day two action at the Akron Invitational, the Dukes set season best times in seven of the eight events.

Freshman John Holleran notched personal bests in the 50-yard freestyle in 22.85 and the 100-yard breastroke in 1:00.37. He was also a member of the 200 free relay (1:30.45) and 400 medley relay (3:39.23) teams which set new season-best standards. Junior Andrew Spotts (55.68 in 100 back), sophomore Josh Hoffman (2:03.67 in 200 butterfly) and freshman Hugo Erse (4:16.70 in 400 IM) also turned in season-best times.

The Dukes conclude the 2002 portion of the schedule tomorrow in day three action at Akron.
