PITTSBURGH (AP) - Percell Coles scored 29 points and Jermaine Robinson scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half as Cleveland State beat Duquesne 74-67 Wednesday.
Cleveland State (2-2) hit 17 of 20 second-half free throw attempts to hold off Duquesne (1-2), which shot 37 percent (13 of 35) from the floor in the second half.
Coles shot a school-record nine 3-pointers in the game, going 9-12 from beyond the 3-point line.
Robinson was 10-10 from the free-throw line.
Duquesne committed 18 turnovers in the game, which led to 17 Cleveland State points.
Duquesne tied the score at 55 with 4:54 remaining in the game, but Cleveland State outscored the Dukes 19-12 in the final minutes and went 12-12 from the free throw line in the final 2:01.
Jimmy Tricco scored 17 points to lead Duquesne. Brad Midgley added 13 and Simplice Njoya and Ron Dokes scored 11.
