Stright joined the Duquesne coaching staff as head diving coach prior the 2020-21 season.
Stright has been instrumental in the development of Sidney O'Donnell, who has qualified for the for the NCAAÂ Zone A Diving Championships twice during her career. In 2022, O'Donnell earned a silver medal in the three-meter dives at the A-10 Championships to help fortify Duquesne's second place finish in the team standings.
In her first season at the helm, O'Donnell and Adrienne White each tallied points for the Dukes at the 2020-21 Atlantic 10 Championship, helping Duquesne post a second-place team finish. O'Donnell placed fourth in the 3-meter dive and sixth in the 1-meter dive for the Dukes while White registered an 11th-place finish in the 3-meter dive along with a 12th-place mark in the 1-meter dive.Â
Stright served as the diving coach at Johns Hopkins University from 1998-00 and also worked as a coach of U.S. Club Diving Instructor for Dive Hopkins. While at Johns Hopkins, she mentored divers who were ranked in the top ten nationally as well as many regionally-ranked divers.
Stright then moved to Michigan, where she coached diving and gymnastics at several area high schools.
A standout diver at Shaler Area High School, Stright still owns school diving records for the Titans and competed at the WPIAL and PIAA Championships in high school. She was also a competitive gymnast for eight years and was a state champion on uneven parallel bars and vault.
Following high school, Stright attended Towson University where she qualified four times for the Eastern Collegiate Athletic Conference (ECAC) Championship.
