Biography


Came to Duquesne as a graduate assistant and was added to the active roster in late September of 2021.

As a Graduate Student at Duquesne (2021-22)
  • Played in 20 games with three starts.
  • Scored his first bucket as a Duke in the opener vs. Rider.
  • Scored five points in 15 minutes vs. Fordham (Feb. 12). Went over the 1,000-point mark (991 at D-II Hillsdale) with a jumper in the first half vs. the Rams.
  • Had eight points and nine rebounds in 29 minutes at GW. Sent the game into a second overtime with a dramatic 3-pointer from the corner with 0:05 left in the first overtime.
  • Followed with eight more points (4-of-5) vs. La Salle.
  • Scored over half of his season points in DU’s last three games.

Before Duquesne
  • Scored 991 points in 105 games as a three-year starter at Division II Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Mich., under John Tharp, the winningest coach in Hillsdale history.
  • Shot 51.1 percent from the field and 43.3 percent from 3-point (93-of-215) and had a 2.1 assist-to-turnover ratio for his career.
  • Scored in double digits 49 times, with all 49 coming in his last three seasons (74 games).
  • Earned All-Great Midwest Athletic Conference honors three times (First Team as a sophomore and Second Team as a junior and senior).
  • Helped 21-3 Hillsdale advance to the NCAA Division II Atlantic Regional Final as a senior.
  • Had his junior year cut seven games short by a season-ending ACL injury, but was still named Second Team All-G-MAC.
  • Posted 15 double-digit scoring games, including a career-high 29 points in the season opener vs. Southern Indiana as a junior.
  • Earned First Team All-G-MAC honors as a sophomore (12.3 ppg., 5.1 rpg., 2.0 apg., 52.4 percent from the field).
  • Scored in double digits 20 times with a season-high of 26 points vs. Findlay as a sophomore.
  • Redshirted in 2016-17 before playing in all 31 games as a freshman in 2017-18.

Personal
  • Was a three-year captain at Sheboygan North High School, where he played for Wisconsin Basketball Coaches Hall of Famer Tom Desotell.
  • Finished his career as North’s all-time leading scorer with 1,733 points.
  • Led North to its first state playoff appearance in 23 years in 2015-16.
  • A Dean’s List student, Larson completed his undergraduate degree in financial management at Hillsdale in the spring of 2021.
  • Working toward his master’s in leadership at Duquesne.
