Michael Dorato is Coordinator of the Pep Band and Ensembles Assistant at Duquesne University. Michael is a graduate of the State University of New York at Fredonia with a Bachelor of Music Degree in Trombone Performance. He also has a Masters Degree in Trombone Performance from Duquesne University.
Michael's primary trombone instructors include: Mr. James Nova (Brass Coodinator at Duquesne University and Trombonist of the Pittsburgh Symphony) and Mr. Carl Mazzio (Buffalo Philharmonic).
Michael is an active Freelancer and teacher in the Pittsburgh area and regularly performs with such groups as River City Brass Band, Pittsburgh Opera, The Brass Roots, and the Pittsburgh Symphony.
