PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne acrobatics & tumbling program is set to begin its inaugural season ranked No. 15 in the National Collegiate Acrobatics & Tumbling Association (NCATA) preseason poll, released this afternoon.
The Dukes received 84 points in the preseason coaches poll and are the only first-year program—among seven debuting in 2025—to earn a spot in the top 15.
An NCAA emerging sport, acrobatics & tumbling is one of the fastest-growing varsity collegiate sports, with 47 programs across all three NCAA divisions set to compete this spring.
Led by head coach Michaela Soper, Duquesne will make its
program debut at home on Friday, Feb. 7, against No. 3 Gannon. The meet is scheduled for 6 p.m. at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse.
The Dukes will also host No. 1 Baylor (March 11), No. 14 LIU (March 16), and Buffalo State (April 6) as part of a three-meet homestand to close out the inaugural season. DU's schedule also includes road trips to West Liberty (Feb. 15), Missouri State (Feb. 22), and No. 8 Iona (March 3).
All home meets at UPMC Cooper Fieldhouse are free and open to the public.
