Lewisburg, Pa. – The Duquesne University women's tennis team concluded its two-match road swing, securing a 4-3 victory at Bucknell on Saturday afternoon at the Central Pa Tennis Center. With the win, the Dukes improve to 5-10 overall this spring.

In doubles competition, the Bison captured wins at the first and third position to take the point. Graduate student Daniela Latoni and junior Kaya Rand fell by a 6-2 count to Whitney King and Abby Platt in the first spot before sophomore Jasa Roka and freshman Mila Badics captured a 6-1 victory over Madi Sebulsky and Caroline Marcus at second doubles. In the final doubles, freshman Sofia Serrano and sophomore Taisia Yakunina were downed by Anna Lajos and Mirra Manolov, 6-3.

Duquesne turned it around in singles competition, winning the first four matches to capture the victory. In the first slot, Lotoni secured a 6-4, 7-5 win over Lajos before Badics tallied a 6-1, 6-4 victory over Platt in the second position. At third singles, Roka downed Tyne Miller, 6-1, 6-2 as Rand recorded a 6-1, 6-2 win over Jaycie Mair. Yakunina fell by a 4-6, 6-1, 6-10 to Manolov before Serrano was downed 6-3, 7-5 to Tori Allen in the final two positions.
